Friday! After 3 days of silence from the other end of the company I’m shootin for a job from, I just got an email to do an interview on Friday! Even if I don’t get it, at least I get a chance! Yay!

I think it’s safe to say that jury duty absolutely killed my chances on getting an interview for a job that I really wanted. I mean, they can only be told “sorry, can’t do that day” so many times before they give up on me. Jury duty, work, jury duty, work. There goes a job I’m pretty sure I could have loved AND gotten me out of this hole.

So my head space blows at the moment and my partners are being lame. I gave myself a deadline to finalize all my designs ready to go into production. It’s been weeks and we still haven’t agreed on the order. Listen, you order a minimum and you sell the entire portion of your Mediums, that size is considered sold out until you can come up with enough to order the next minimum. In the meantime, you’re losing sales. If someone who is not familiar with your brand goes to your website to purchase something and it’s not available, the odds of them returning are very slim. If we had a big name, great. People would totally come back to get it. But we don’t. We’re tiny. And this is making us tinier. I’m sure it says NOTHING that we’re sold out of an entire size in tank tops. Geeze. It’s not like we’ll capitalize on summer merch. AND we’re trying to get into a fest AND are possibly going to be seen on some pretty big bands at Warped or in the least, one of our bands, at Lolla. I GUESS THAT COUNTS FOR NOTHING.

Vacation in a couple weeks. Then, it’s me and booze and the beach. End rant. I’m sorry for making you read it this far if you had. Bless your heart with all things wonderful.

A little bit ago, I discovered my great grandma was alive. Not long after that, she had passed. I doubt we would have ever had long conversations to have really gotten to know each other. She was far off in Taiwan and besides, my Chinese is terrible. And I’m not super religious, but I grew up paying respect traditionally. I believe it’s probably just a little easier now for her to see all that I’m doing. I think that wherever she is, we no longer have a language barrier. She gets me. Well, that would be all my great grandparents and most of my grandparents at this point. I hope I’m making them proud somehow. I’m working on it.

So, I got picked for jury duty. This may possibly mean that I miss out on a really big opportunity...

In the past few days, a lot of possibilities have appeared. And I’ve been thinking that maybe this it, this is my time. Everything I’ve been waiting for and working towards will pay off in these new ventures. But talk is just talk. And if there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that things always have a way of falling through. Here’s to hoping.
